Dear sir,
In my opinion, 1. The Institution hast to register with Income Tax department- trust registration & for (Exemption) to claim exemption U/.s.11.
2. Register as per the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act for accepting donation from abroad with Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi.
thanks

Dear Sri Chandra Sekhar!
Apart from seeking registration with Registrar of socieites/ Sub Registrar ( in respect of a declaration of trust) and the registration u/s 12A of the Income-tax Act, The trust must obtain registration with Ministry of Home Affairs to receive foreign contributions. The trust needs to open a separate account with a scheduled bank, designate it and inform Ministry of Home affairs that the foreign contributions will be received ONLY through this account. You have to receive All Foreign Contributins ONLY through this account only. Before that verify whether the objects of trust are eligible to receive foreign contributions under F.C.Regulation Act.Bye for now!Keep in touch!-
